Starting and managing subscription plans

Introduction

SSHwatch offers different subscription tiers to accommodate various monitoring needs. This documentation explains how to start a paid subscription, understand the available options, and manage your existing subscriptions. SSHwatch uses Mollie as the payment processor to handle all subscription transactions securely.

Accessing Your Subscription Settings

To manage your subscription, you first need to access the subscription settings from your SSHwatch dashboard. Here's how:

  1. Log in to your SSHwatch dashboard.
  2. Click on your email address in the top-right corner of the dashboard.
  3. In the user information modal that appears, click on the "Subscription" tab.

The subscription tab displays your current plan status, available plans, and payment history. When you first create an account, you're automatically enrolled in the Free plan.

Understanding Available Plans

SSHwatch offers three subscription tiers with different capabilities:

Free Plan

The Free plan provides essential monitoring for beginners. It includes one server connection, 7-day log retention, and basic SSH monitoring functionality. There is no cost associated with this plan, making it ideal for testing the service or for personal use with minimal server monitoring needs.

Pro Plan

The Pro plan costs $29.90 per month and provides advanced access monitoring solutions. With this plan, you can monitor up to 15 servers simultaneously, enjoy extended log retention of 60 days, and gain access to real-time custom alerts. This plan is designed for small to medium-sized businesses or individuals managing multiple servers.

Enterprise Plan

The Enterprise plan costs $79.90 per month and delivers comprehensive monitoring solutions for larger operations. This plan includes unlimited server connections, extended log retention of 180 days, and additional features such as CSV log exports for deeper analysis. The Enterprise plan is suitable for larger organizations with extensive server infrastructure.

Starting a Paid Subscription

When you're ready to upgrade to a paid plan, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the subscription tab as described above.
  2. Review the available plans displayed in the subscription section.
  3. Click the "Get Started" button under your preferred plan (Pro or Enterprise).
  4. You'll be redirected to the Mollie payment processing page.
  5. Enter your payment details and complete the checkout process.
  6. After successful payment, you'll be redirected back to the SSHwatch dashboard.

The system will automatically update your subscription status, and your new plan will be activated immediately. You should see a confirmation message indicating your new plan and its active period.

Subscription Management

Once you have an active paid subscription, you can manage it through the subscription tab. Your subscription details will show:

  • Your current plan name
  • Subscription status
  • Monthly price
  • Next payment date

The subscription page also shows your payment history, including all past transactions. You can download invoices for your records by clicking the "Invoice" button next to each payment entry.

Canceling a Subscription

If you need to cancel your subscription, you can do so at any time through the dashboard:

  1. Navigate to the subscription tab in your user information modal.
  2. Under your current plan details, click the "Cancel Subscription" button.
  3. Confirm your cancellation when prompted.

After cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period. The system will display the end date of your subscription. After this date, your account will automatically revert to the Free plan. No further charges will be made to your payment method.

Payment Processing and Security

SSHwatch uses Mollie, a trusted payment processor, to handle all subscription transactions. Your payment information is processed securely through Mollie's platform and is not stored directly by SSHwatch. Each transaction generates an invoice that you can download for your records.

Subscription Renewal

Paid subscriptions automatically renew on a monthly basis. The renewal date is shown in your subscription details as "Next Payment." To avoid being charged for the next billing cycle, ensure you cancel your subscription before this date.

Support for Subscription Issues

If you encounter any issues with your subscription, payment processing, or have questions about the different plans, you can contact SSHwatch support for assistance. The support team can help resolve billing issues, explain plan differences, or assist with subscription changes.

By following this guide, you should be able to successfully start, manage, and if necessary, cancel your SSHwatch subscription.
